Temporary Road Closure – A291 Herne Street, Herne – 10th June 2021
Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on A291 Herne Street, Herne from 10th June 2021 at 20:00, with estimated completion by 11th June 2021 at 05:00.
The road will be closed in the general vicinity of number 50, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A291 Herne Street, Canterbury Road, A299 Thanet Way, St Nicholas Roundabout, A28 Canterbury Road, Island Road, Staines Hill, Island Road, A291 Sturry Hill, Herne Bay Road, Calcott Hill, Canterbury Road and vice versa.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while frame and cover replacement works are undertaken by Southern Water.
