Temporary Road Closure – Sweechbridge Road, Herne Bay

31st August 2023 (Canterbury District)

It will be necessary to close part of Sweechbridge Road, Herne Bay from 31st August 2023, for up to one day.

Sweechbridge Road, Herne Bay will be closed in the vicinity of Hillborough Business Park, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is:-

Northbound is via Sweechbridge Road, Heart In Hand Road, A299 Thanet Way, Margate Road, Margate Road Interchange, Mickleburgh Hill and Reculver Road.

Southbound is via Reculver Road, Margate Road, A299 Thanet Way, Heart In Hand Road, May Street and Sweechbridge Road.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while fibre cabling works are undertaken by Openreach.
