Temporary Road Closure – Tyler Hill Bonfire Night, Canterbury – 5th November 2022 (Canterbury District)

In the interest of road safety during and following the Tyler Hill Bonfire, Kent County Council has made an Order to impose temporary restrictions in the vicinity of Tyler Hill near Canterbury.

Restrictions apply on Saturday 5th November 2022 from 17:30 hours through to 22:30 hours, with closures lifted as soon as it is safe to do so.

The following roads will be closed to the extents show:

Canterbury Hill – closed for its entire length
Wood Hill – closed for its entire length
Hackington Road – closed from Wood Hill to the junction with Link Road
Calais Hill – closed for its entire length
Summer Lane – closed from Wood Hill to the junction with Park Farm Close
Park Farm Closed – closed for its entire length
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Link Road, Tyler Hill Road, A290 Blean Common, A290 Blean Hill, A290 Tile Kiln Hill, A290 Whitstable Road, Giles Lane and vice versa.

These closures do not apply to buses on local services, which will be escorted through the closures.

Access for emergency service vehicles and pedestrians will be maintained at all times during the closure.
