Urgent Road Closure – A299 Thanet Way, Whitstable, Chestfield, Herne Bay and Herne and Broomfield – Coast Bound Only – 17th October 2022 (Canterbury)
It will be necessary to close A299 Thanet Way, Whitstable, Chestfield, Herne Bay and Herne and Broomfield – Coast Bound only from 17th October 2022 for up to 1 night.
The road will be closed between the Whitstable off slip and Eddington on slip.
The alternative route is to exit via the A299 Eddington off slip to A2990 Thanet Way westbound and re-join A299 at the Whitstable on slip.
It is planned that the road will be closed between 19:00 hrs and 06:00 hrs.
This is to enable urgent safety critical works to repair undulations within the carriageway to be carried out by Kent County Council.
