It will be necessary to close part of Various Roads in Sturry from 22nd July 2023, with estimated completion by 3rd September 2023.
WORKS SCHEDULE
A291 Sturry Hill
A291 Sturry Hill will be closed from 22nd July 2023, with an estimated completion by 3rd September 2023.
The road will be closed from the junction with A28 Island Road to the junction with Deansway Avenue, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via A28 Island Road, Staines Hill, Island Road, Canterbury Road, A299 Thanet Way, A291 Canterbury Road, Herne Street, Canterbury Road, Calcott Hill, Herne Bay Road and vice versa.
A291 Herne Bay Road
A291 Herne Bay Road will be closed from 22nd July 2023, with an estimated completion by 3rd September 2023.
The road will be closed from the junction with Deansway Avenue, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via A291 Sturry Hill, A28 Island Road, Staines Hill, Island Road, Canterbury Road, A299 Thanet Way, A291 Canterbury Road, Herne Street, Canterbury Road, Calcott Hill, Herne Bay Road and vice versa.
The A291 Sturry Hill closure & A291 Herne Bay Road closure are two separate phases and will not be closed at the same time.
Deansway Avenue
Deansway Avenue will be closed from 22nd July 2023, with an estimated completion by 3rd September 2023.
The road will be closed from the junction with A291 Herne Bay Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route:-
Northbound is via Deansway Avenue, Popes Lane, Hawe Lane, Hoath Road, Hicks Forstal Road, A291 Canterbury Road, Calcott Hill, Herne Bay Road.
Southbound is via Park View, Link Road, Meadow Road, Cedar Road, Homewood Road, A28 Island Road.
Popes Lane
Popes Lane will be closed from 22nd July 2023, with an estimated completion by 3rd September 2023.
The road will be closed from the junction with A291 Herne Bay Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route:-
Northbound is via Popes Lane, Hawe Lane, Hoath Road, Hicks Forstal Road, A291 Canterbury Road, Calcott Hill, Herne Bay Road.
Southbound is via Deansway Avenue, Park View, Link Road, Meadow Road, Cedar Road, Homewood Road, A28 Island Road.
The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while cable works are undertaken by The Electricity Network Company Limited.
