I wanted to provide an update on drinking water supplies in the Herne Bay area this morning (Friday, 26 June).
Current status
Currently we have no customer impact due to summer demand in the Herne Bay area but we are managing the risk and monitoring the drinking water storage tank levels closely.
What we are doing
As a precaution we have set up bottled water stations in the following locations, but these are NOT open as all customers are in supply.
For your information the locations are as follows:
Bottled Water Stations
Kavanagh Cinema – Herne Bay Leisure Centre, William St, Herne Bay CT6
Sainsburys Altira Business Park, 6 The Blvd, Herne Bay CT6 6GZ
Community Hub:
Herne village hall, Herne Bay CT6 7HD
This morning, we have shared on social media that these stations are not open and have only been set up as a precaution.
Priority Services Register
We are currently carrying out precautionary deliveries of bottled water to all customers on our Priority Service Register in the Herne Bay area.
We will continue to monitor the situation closely and advise you if the situation changes.
