Temporary Road Closure – Albion Lane & Ridgeway Road, Herne

19th June 2023 (Canterbury District)

It will be necessary to close part of Albion Lane & Ridgeway Road, Herne from 19th June 2023, with estimated completion by 25th June 2023, between the hours of 09.30 and 15.30.

Albion Lane will be closed in the vicinity of the junction with Ridgeway Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

Ridgeway Road will be closed in the vicinity of number 54, for a distance of approximately 100 metres in an easterly direction, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

A local diversion will be in place for residents East of Albion Lane.

The alternative route for any through traffic on Ridgeway Road is via Ridgeway Road, Busheyfields Road, A291 Canterbury Road, A291 Herne Street, Albion Lane, Forgefields and vice versa.

The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while new underground chamber works are undertaken by Openreach.
